Before you ask us about your new project...

One of Topflor members, Alan, has pointed out that we usually have to wait before we can help the consumer because they have left out important information. To get right to answering your questions or solving your problems, please help us help you by including the information below in your post(mail).
  • What sort of subfloor are you covering, wood or concrete? What condition is it in? For some products on wood subfloors, we might even need to know the joist size and spacing, direction relative to the room and thickness and type of panels or boards that cover the joists.
  • Is the wood or concrete subfloor on a second or upper level space? Does it have living space below it, a basement or crawl space? If concrete, is it on, above or below the ground level?
  • What is the size of the room(s) or overall area to be covered?
  • What part of the country (or world) are you located? What are the weather and humidity levels and does the home or business have a working HVAC system?
  • What material or product are you planning to have for a finished floor? We would need to know the product name, brand, color and... Are you planning to use any additional or accessory products in this project?
  • Can you share any information or pictures of the existing floors or problem areas? Use our upload feature to share any images or floor plans.
  • Is this a project you plan to do yourself, or hire out to a professional - or maybe do part of the work yourself and let a pro do the rest?

Our pros may have additional questions for your particular situation, but answers to the above may provide them with enough information to help you quicker and get you started on the right path forward. If you leave out important information, the answers and solution you seek may be delayed.
